The short version

The Turtles came to NYCC 2026 through their makers. IDW announced TMNT: The First Ronin by Stan Sakai and Soo Lee on October 8 and was billed for a panel on Friday, October 9 at 11:15 AM. Mezco was billed at booth 1253 with the Comic Foot Soldiers and a Gray Hulk, and Super7 founder Brian Flynn held a session on Thursday at 3 PM ET that was not billed as Turtles. We found no price for the Mezco items and no Turtles announcement from Super7, and we cannot read the official NYCC pages.

  • IDW's news from the week was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The First Ronin, announced October 8: five issues from March 2027, written and designed by Stan Sakai with Soo Lee on art, set in 1600s Japan with the Turtles as yokai. Everything we hold about the Friday panel comes from its pre-show listing, and we have not read a report of what was said in the room.
  • Mezco was billed to sell the Comic Foot Soldiers and a Gray Hulk in person at booth 1253. As of October 14 we have found no price, no edition size and no report of how either sold. Mezco's One:12 Foot Soldiers Army Builder Set was listed as not sold at NYCC.
  • The Super7 session on Thursday was not billed as Turtles, and we found no Turtles announcement from it.
  • The Splinter & Sons pop-up was billed for October 9 to 11 at 130 2nd Avenue. The weekend hours stayed in conflict between the official TMNT Instagram account (Saturday noon to 8 PM, Sunday noon to 6 PM) and NYC for FREE (noon to 10 PM daily), and we have not read Paramount's own announcement.
  • Nickelodeon's booth 1523 and its sewer lair photo op are carried from a NickALive post we read on October 4. We found no second source for it.
  • We cannot read the official NYCC schedule, exhibitor and exclusives pages with our tools. The exclusives table is dated October 4, 2026 and has not been re-read.

Mezco said on October 7 that the Comic Foot Soldiers, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles three-pack in the comic version, would be sold exclusively at its NYCC booth, number 1253, next to a Gray Hulk. Its booth graphic promised reveals and exclusives. As of October 14 we found no price or edition size for either.

Panel billed for Friday, October 9, 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM ET. IDW's booth was 4551.

IDW announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The First Ronin on Thursday evening, ahead of its Friday panel. It is a five-issue miniseries for March 2027, written and designed by Stan Sakai with art by Soo Lee, billed as a spiritual predecessor to The Last Ronin. It is set in 1600s Japan, where four yokai who look like humanoid turtles come to the aid of a general named Kameyama. Sakai says these Turtles are yokai and not mutants. IDW confirmed TMNT: The Last Ronin III - Return for New York for 2027 in the same announcement.

Super7 founder Brian Flynn was billed to sit down with Esoteric of CZARFACE for a Walmart Collector Con session at NYCC. Super7 said the talk would be about toys, collecting and all things Super7. It was not billed as a Turtles panel, though Super7 makes the TMNT ReAction+ and ULTIMATES figures.

NickALive reported on October 3 that Nickelodeon's booth was a multi-brand space shared with SpongeBob and Avatar, with the Turtles part described only as a sewer lair photo op. We read that on October 4 and found no second source.

Friday, October 9 to Sunday, October 11. The official TMNT account gave Saturday noon to 8 PM and Sunday noon to 6 PM.

A free pop-up for the game TMNT: Splintered Fate, in Manhattan and not at the Javits Center. Bleeding Cool reported exclusive merch including a limited-edition art print and a T-shirt, and said it would be gone by Monday. We did not see Paramount's own announcement and found no price.

  • IDW Publishing was billed for a panel on Friday, October 9, 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM, in North Room 406.2, with Matthew Rosenberg on the list. IDW's booth was 4551.
  • Super7 founder Brian Flynn and Esoteric of CZARFACE were billed for a Walmart Collector Con session on Thursday, October 8 at 3 PM ET.

Our conjecture

These were our guesses. The outcome of each is in the section above.

  • Mezco may show more than the Comic Foot Soldiers. Its booth graphic says Reveals and Exclusives and its One:12 Collective Turtles are the line it is actively selling, so another Turtles item is plausible.
  • IDW may name the Turtles title in IDW Goes Dark during the week. It has promised an announcement for every weekday and the Turtles are in the line with no title yet.

Still open

  • The price and edition size of the Comic Foot Soldiers. Mezco's posts show no figure, and we have not found a Mezco product page.
  • When people who are not exhibitors can buy at booth 1253. Mezco gave only the 11 AM ET exhibitor time.
  • The colourist and letterer on The First Ronin, and whether it has any connection to IDW Goes Dark. IDW named neither in its announcement, and nothing in that announcement calls The First Ronin a horror book.
  • What Flynn and Esoteric will cover. Super7 has said toys, collecting and all things Super7, and nothing more.
  • Whether the official NYCC schedule and exclusives pages list anything we missed. Those pages load with scripts our tools cannot read, so we have not been able to check them again.
