Nickelodeon's SDCC 2026 Plans: A TMNT Sewer Lair Photo Op and the Snake Eyes x Leo Booth Exclusive
Nickelodeon has laid out its plans for Comic-Con International: San Diego 2026, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles run through both halves of it. The company detailed a convention-floor booth called the FUN-ERGY FACTORY plus a new outdoor activation in a press release issued July 17. SDCC runs Wednesday, July 22 through Sunday, July 26.
The FUN-ERGY FACTORY is an 1,800-square-foot booth, number 4113, on the convention center floor. It is built around Nickelodeon’s slime-and-play theme, with the Turtles featured alongside SpongeBob SquarePants and Avatar: The Last Airbender. For TMNT fans the draw is an “Enter the World of TMNT” sewer lair photo op, where attendees can step into a recreated lair set alongside the Turtles. The booth also runs interactive challenges that build toward a nearly 20-foot Slime Surge, and an “Enter the Splat” immersive photo environment.
New this year, Nickelodeon expands past the convention center with “Fun Flows Here,” a free outdoor activation at The New Children’s Museum park at 200 W. Island Ave. in downtown San Diego. It is open to the public July 23 to 26 and includes an interactive stage show hosted by Kids Imagine Nation with performances inspired by TMNT, PAW Patrol, The Thundermans and Star Trek: Scouts, along with a slime booth, character-drawing demos and giveaways. Museum members get an exclusive preview on Thursday, July 23. The museum itself is closed to the public July 21 to 26 and reopens July 27.
On the retail side, the standout Turtles item is Playmates’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x G.I. Joe figure, sold at the Nickelodeon booth. The press listing names it the Leonardo as Snake Eyes figure from the Crossover Classics line, casting Leonardo in Snake Eyes’ black tactical gear at roughly 12cm tall with katana swords, a back sheath and a tactical harness, priced at 40 dollars. The product image shows the packaged set labeled “Snake Eyes x Leo,” and the box art advertises an exclusive Timber x Rahzar companion, pairing Snake Eyes’ wolf Timber with the TMNT mutant Rahzar. A Nickelodeon Fandom Mash-Up Tote featuring the Turtles among other Nick characters is also on the exclusive list at 10 dollars, or free with a Nickelodeon Shop purchase of 100 dollars or more while supplies last.
The crossover figure lands during the last full year of Playmates Toys’ run with the franchise. Mattel holds the master TMNT toy license and begins producing product in 2027, which puts these SDCC 2026 items among the final Playmates-made Turtles collectibles. Our Mattel TMNT toy hub tracks the handover.
