TMNT x Godzilla Wave 2 is in stock at $17.99, and Donnie comes with a second, tiny Donnie
The second wave of Playmates’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Godzilla figures is in stock at BigBadToyStore today. All three are $17.99: Donnie x Jet Jaguar, Shredder x Mechagodzilla and Splinter x King Caesar. Every listing had a live add to cart when we read it this afternoon [1].
BigBadToyStore’s copy gives the premise: the 1987 cartoon Turtles, dressed in the look of the 1978 Godzilla animated series, each one fused with a kaiju. The sizes are close. Donnie stands 5.5 inches, Shredder 5.25 and Splinter 5, all plastic, and BigBadToyStore gives Donnie over 12 points of articulation and the other two “multiple”.
Donnie is the one we would pick, because BigBadToyStore lists his laser bo staff and a miniature Donatello x Jet Jaguar figure alongside him, so for the same $17.99 he is the only one of the three that gets you two figures. The little one stands at the bottom left of Playmates’ photograph. Shredder’s box holds the figure and his cape, a fair deal for a silver Mechagodzilla, but Splinter’s holds a staff that BigBadToyStore describes as a full-sized tree ripped out of the earth with King Caesar’s strength. The tree is the best prop of the three; the miniature twin is the better thing in the box!
These are the second half of a line. The same listings name the first three as Leonardo x Godzilla, Michelangelo x King Ghidorah and Raphael x Rodan, and we have not read those listings today, so we are not pricing them here.
Playmates’ Turtles licence ends on 31 December 2026 and Mattel takes over the master toy licence in 2027, so this wave ships in the final three months of the licence. We covered what else is in stock from Playmates’ final year last month, and separately its Platinum Shell and Snake Eyes exclusives from SDCC. Everything else Playmates has made for the Turtles is on our Playmates TMNT page.
[1] ToyHypeUSA, which ran the in-stock report first, contradicts itself: its headline says Donnie x Jet Jaguar and its text says “Donatello x Mechagodzilla” and “Shredder x Megagodzilla”. We have used the names on the BigBadToyStore product pages throughout, which read Donnie x Jet Jaguar (Mechanical Mutant), Shredder x Mechagodzilla (The Techno-Terror) and Splinter x King Caesar (Mystical Mentor), and which match the figures in the photograph.
