Splintered Fate Gets a Switch 2 Legendary Edition on October 27 With Every DLC and a Fourth Character Still Hidden

Super Evil Megacorp announced on July 28, 2026 that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is getting a retail Legendary Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, launching October 27 with pre-orders live now. The developer is releasing it with Nighthawk Interactive at $49.99 US.

What is in the box

Super Evil Megacorp lists the Legendary Edition contents as:

  • The “Casey Jones & the Junkyard Jam” expansion, a Junkyard level with new boss fights, a fresh narrative and Casey Jones as a playable character
  • Metalhead and Alopex as playable characters. Metalhead is the game’s first fully ranged fighter; Alopex is the mutant arctic fox and former ninja assassin turned ally
  • A digital art book of concept art and final designs for characters, locations, key art and icons
  • Every free content update released to date, including Arcade Mode
  • A fourth “fan-favorite” playable character DLC that the developer says will be revealed soon

The unrevealed fourth character is the one worth watching. Super Evil Megacorp’s announcement art marks that slot with a question mark rather than a silhouette, so there is nothing to read into it yet.

A behind the scenes video and a summer tease

Alongside the edition, the studio released “Behind the Scenes Of Splintered Fate: The Journey so Far,” featuring IDW writer Tom Waltz, who co-authored the game’s story and co-wrote The Last Ronin, plus voice actors Yuri Lowenthal and Dominic Catrambone and members of the dev team. Super Evil Megacorp says extended editions focused on narrative and art are coming.

The studio also posted a teaser for what it calls “incredibly exciting things” arriving later this summer, ahead of what it describes as an upcoming major update. It did not say what that is.

For context on the scale the game has reached, Super Evil Megacorp says Splintered Fate crossed one million copies sold earlier in 2026. The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Where this sits on the TMNT games board

This is the second Turtles gaming item in as many weeks. Paramount Games Studio and PlatinumGames showed The Last Ronin at SDCC 2026, and SEGA dropped the TMNT Pack for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on July 28. The Legendary Edition is the collector-facing one of the three: a boxed, complete-in-one release of a game that has been sold in pieces since 2024, which is the version most shelf collectors have been waiting on.
