NECA Caps Its Classic Cartoon TMNT Line With an Ultimate Tempestra, Revealed at SDCC 2026

NECA revealed a new Ultimate Cartoon Tempestra figure at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, adding the fan-demanded villainess from the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series to its classic-cartoon collection. The 7-inch-scale figure features all-new sculpting and is presented in collector-friendly window box packaging with VHS-homage artwork.

The reveal comes with a note of finality. NECA says Tempestra is its last figure in the TMNT Cartoon Collection line for the foreseeable future, closing out the run of Ultimate figures the company has built around the 1987 Fred Wolf cartoon.

Tempestra comes with a soft-goods dress and cape, interchangeable hands, magenta blast effects, a microchip, and an arcade cabinet with interchangeable screens. Those accessories map directly to her cartoon origin. In the Season 4 episode “Leonardo Versus Tempestra,” she was the villain of an arcade game called Tempestra’s Revenge who manifested into the real world during a power surge, and Leonardo ultimately trapped her using the game’s own circuit board. The evil sorceress later returned in “Night of the Rogues” as the leader of a group of Shredder’s reassembled enemies.

Tempestra is priced between 59.99 and 61.99 dollars depending on retailer and is expected to ship in Q4 2026. NECA has opened preorders through its direct store, with other retailers to follow.
